Iowa Update

Wake-Up Wal-Mart has the details on an event Governor Richardson will be participating in today while in Iowa. If you live in Iowa, go and watch Governor Richardson stand up for working families.
Waterloo Town Hall with Governor Tom Vilsack and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson - Hosted by
Community Meeting/Public Hearing
Join and Governor Tom Vilsack and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson for a special town hall meeting in Waterloo as a part of the 2006 Change Wal-Mart, Change America Tour.

We will be showing our new power point, "A Costly Truth," and having a conversation with Iowans about the need for corporate accountability.

RSVP today and join Governors Vilsack and Richardson.

Sullivan Brothers Convention Center Rm. 23 (2nd floor)
205 W. Fourth St. (at Commercial St.)
Waterloo, IA 50701
In case you hadn't seen the story, Bill Richardson is now an official target of Wal-Mart, which apparently can afford political efforts to tell Iowans who to vote for, but refuses to pay for adequate health care for the vast majority of its employees.

Dude, if you care about working families, you really ought to consider joining us over at America in Solidarity -

Our objective is to create a massive volunteer army committed to a) getting progressive candidates elected that care about working peoples' issues, and b) rebuilding the labor movement from the bottom up, among the rank-and-file members that made this country what it is today. Check us out, sign the pledge, and come out and join us on the campaign trail!
